Syntran Capsule 10

Syntran Capsule is used to treat a variety of fungal infections, including those affecting the lungs (such as aspergillosis), skin, and nails. It also serves as a preventative measure for individuals with compromised immune systems, protecting against opportunistic fungal growth. By destroying the fungal cell membrane, it clears persistent infections like candidiasis and mucosal thrush.

To use Syntran Capsule correctly:

• Swallow the capsule whole with water.
• Take the capsule during or immediately after a meal for optimal absorption.
• Do not break or chew the capsule.
• Always follow your doctor's instructions on how to take this medicine.

Syntran Capsule is taken orally.

Syntran Capsule contains Itraconazole (100 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Inhibits ergosterol synthesis: Itraconazole works by blocking an enzyme in fungal cells called cytochrome P450 14α-demethylase. This enzyme plays a key role in making ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane.
• Disrupts cell membrane structure: Itraconazole disrupts the structure and function of the fungal cell membrane by blocking ergosterol production.
• Stops infection growth: This disruption eventually leads to cell death, effectively stopping the growth and spread of the fungal infection.

• Store Syntran Capsule in a cool and dry place, ideally below 25°C.
• Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.
• It's crucial to keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
• Always check the expiry date before taking Syntran Capsule.

• If you're taking Syntran Capsule for fungal infections, ensure your personal hygiene is maintained at a high standard. This includes washing your hands frequently and avoiding sharing personal items such as towels, combs or shoes.
• Include probiotics in your diet, such as yoghurt or fermented foods, to help balance the good bacteria in your body and potentially support your body's defence against fungal infections. Remember to consult your doctor before making any major dietary changes.
