Softvisc Lubricant Eye Drops are used to relieve dryness, irritation and discomfort caused by dry eye syndrome, helping lubricate and moisten the eye surface when natural tear production is low.

Uses of Softvisc Lubricant Eye Drops are:

• Dry Eye Relief: Lubricates and moistens the eye surface.
• Tear Supplementation: Supplements natural tears when production is low.
• Eye Comfort: Soothes eyes after strain or exposure to dust and wind.

To use New Softvisc Lubricant Eye Drops, follow these steps:

• Start by ensuring your hands are clean to avoid contamination.
• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Hold the dropper above the eye, squeeze out drops as directed by your doctor.
• Close your eye and gently press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute to keep the liquid from draining into your tear duct.
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
• Replace the cap after each use.
• If you need to use other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes before applying them. Always consult your doctor for specific advice.
• Use the solution within one month after opening the vial.
• If irritation persists or increases, discontinue the use and consult the Physician.

New Softvisc Lubricant Eye Drops contain two active ingredients:

• Sodium Hyaluronate (0.1%): This naturally occurring polysaccharide has viscoelastic and water-retaining properties. When administered, it forms a protective coating on the ocular surface, stabilises the tear film, and prolongs corneal wetting time. It also promotes healing of corneal epithelial wounds.

• Oxychloro Complex (0.01%): This patented formulation contains electrolytes that mimic the ionic composition of natural tears. These electrolytes assist in maintaining the osmotic balance on the ocular surface and support the integrity of the corneal epithelium.

• Store New Softvisc Lubricant Eye Drops at room temperature, below 25°C.

• Keep the product away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always remember to keep the container tightly closed after use.

• New Softvisc Lubricant Eye Drops should be kept out of reach of children.

• Hydrate well. Drinking a sufficient amount of water can help manage dry eye syndrome by keeping your body, including your eyes, properly hydrated.

• Try to limit screen time. Extended periods in front of screens can further exacerbate symptoms of dry eye syndrome. If this is unavoidable due to work or other commitments, remember to take regular breaks and blink frequently to moisten your eyes.
