CompositionSilosure D Capsule 15 is a combination medicine used to manage lower urinary tract symptoms in adult men with an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It helps relieve urinary symptoms such as weak stream, difficulty passing urine, and frequent nighttime urination.
It combines Silodosin (an alpha-blocker) and Dutasteride (a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor). Silodosin works rapidly by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck to ease urine flow, while Dutasteride acts over time to shrink the prostate gland by blocking the hormone that causes prostate growth.
Take this capsule once daily as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with a meal. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush, open, or chew it. Rising slowly from sitting or lying positions helps reduce dizziness when starting treatment.
Before starting Silosure D Capsule, inform your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney disease, low blood pressure, or are planning cataract surgery. Women who are or may become pregnant should not handle crushed or leaking capsules as Dutasteride can be absorbed through the skin. This medicine is strictly for use in adult men.
