Silofast M 50 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland in men, which can make urinating difficult

• Reducing the frequency of urination

• Easing the urgency to urinate

• Controlling urge incontinence

Here's how you should take Silofast M 50 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, divide, or crush the tablet.

• Try to take this medicine at approximately the same time each day, with or without food.

Silofast M 50 Tablet is taken orally.

Silofast M 50 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Silodosin (8 mg): This component targets alpha-1A adrenergic receptors in the prostate, bladder neck, and urethra. When these receptors are blocked, the associated muscles relax. This relaxation reduces resistance at the bladder outlet, improving urine flow and addressing voiding symptoms of BPH.

• Mirabegron (50 mg): This ingredient acts on beta-3 adrenergic receptors in your bladder. When these receptors are activated, the bladder muscles relax, increasing the bladder's capacity. This reduces involuntary bladder contractions, helping to manage symptoms such as urgency and frequency of urination.

• Store Silofast M 50 Tablet at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from heat, light, and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Make sure to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you are taking Silofast M 50 Tablet to manage prostate enlargement, consider incorporating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like fish and nuts, into your diet. These may help reduce inflammation associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

• Regular, moderate physical activity such as walking or cycling can support overall health and may alleviate some symptoms of BPH. However, avoid heavy lifting or straining, as these can worsen prostate-related issues. Always consult your doctor about any new diet or exercise regimen.
