This sugar-free digestive tonic facilitates the breakdown of proteins and starches, reducing post-meal bloating and abdominal discomfort. • Alpha-amylase (fungal diastase 1:800 from Aspergillus oryzae I.P): Alpha-amylase is an important thermostable enzyme that breaks down starch. It has both liquefying and saccharifying actions on starch. When the pancreas is unable to produce or releases insufficient amounts of digestive enzymes into the stomach to help in food digestion, alpha-amylase can be used as an effective digestive aid.
