CompositionSilodal-M 50 Tablet is used to manage symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an enlarged prostate. It combines silodosin, an alpha-blocker, with mirabegron, a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist.
Silodosin relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine, while mirabegron relaxes the bladder wall muscle to reduce urgency and increase how much urine the bladder can hold, together easing the range of urinary symptoms linked to an enlarged prostate.
Take this tablet as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor prescribes, and continue treatment for the duration advised.
Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, as mirabegron can raise blood pressure in some people. Report any dizziness, especially when standing up quickly, since silodosin can lower blood pressure, and mention if you are due for eye surgery, as silodosin can affect the eye's pupil response during cataract surgery.
