Rivaflo 2.5 Tablet 10

Rivaflo 2.5 Tablet is used in adults to reduce the risk of heart attack, and stroke in people with coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease when used with low-dose aspirin.

Uses of Rivaflo 2.5 Tablet are:

• Coronary Artery Disease and Peripheral Artery Disease: Helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and death when used with low-dose aspirin.
• After Lower Limb Revascularisation: Helps reduce the risk of blood clots and serious limb and heart-related events in people with peripheral artery disease after a lower limb revascularisation procedure, when used as prescribed.

• Swallow the tablet whole with some water. Don't crush or chew it.

• You can take this medicine before, during, or after meals as per your comfort.

• If you have difficulty swallowing the tablet whole, you can crush it and mix it with applesauce or water just before taking it.

• Always consult your doctor if you are unsure about how to take this medicine.

Rivaflo 2.5 Tablet is taken orally.

Rivaflo 2.5 Tablet contains rivaroxaban (2.5 mg). The mechanism of action of Rivaroxaban includes:

• Factor Xa Inhibition: Rivaroxaban acts by selectively blocking the activity of an enzyme known as factor Xa in your blood. This enzyme plays a crucial role in the process of blood clotting.

• Decrease in Thrombin Generation: By inhibiting factor Xa, rivaroxaban effectively reduces the production of another substance called thrombin, which is responsible for clot formation.

• Prevention of Blood Clots: As a result of its action on factor Xa and thrombin, rivaroxaban helps prevent the formation and development of blood clots that could potentially lead to serious health complications such as stroke or pulmonary embolism.

• Store your Rivaflo 2.5 Tablets at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medication in its original packaging to prevent exposure to moisture.

• Ensure the storage area is out of reach for children and pets.
