Xarelto 2.5mg Tablet is used for the following:

• Reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients with specific cardiovascular conditions

• Preventing atherothrombotic events in adults after acute coronary syndrome (ACS)

• Acting in combination with aspirin alone or aspirin plus clopidogrel to prevent blood clots in arteries

• Lowering the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• If you cannot swallow the tablet whole, it may be crushed and mixed with water or applesauce immediately before use.

• Avoid taking more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
