Rivaflo 15 Tablet is used to prevent and treat dangerous blood clots, including lowering the risk of stroke in people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, and treating and preventing clots in the deep veins and lungs.
It contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant. Take it with food as prescribed and do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping can rapidly raise the risk of a blood clot. Taking it with a meal at the 15 mg and 20 mg doses helps absorption.
While taking an anticoagulant, take care to reduce the chance of bleeding. Use a soft toothbrush, take care with sharp objects, and always tell any doctor, dentist, or pharmacist that you take this medicine before any procedure or new treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, or recent surgery, and about all other medicines. Tell your doctor straight away about any serious or unusual bleeding. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
