Rivaflo 20 Tablet is an anticoagulant medicine used to prevent and treat dangerous blood clots in the veins and lungs. It is also used to lower the risk of stroke and systemic blood clots in adults with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
It contains rivaroxaban, a direct oral anticoagulant. Take it with food as prescribed, usually with the evening meal to ensure proper absorption. Continue taking it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as stopping increases the risk of serious blood clots.
To lower the risk of bleeding while on blood thinners, take extra care in daily activities. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush, avoid sharp objects, and take care to avoid accidental injury or fall.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have active bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, or recent surgery. Always tell any healthcare provider or dentist that you are taking a blood thinner before any procedure.
