Rivaflo 20 Tablet is used to prevent and treat dangerous blood clots, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and to reduce the risk of stroke in people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
It contains rivaroxaban, a direct anticoagulant. Take it with food as prescribed; the evening meal is the recommended timing for this dose to improve absorption. Do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping suddenly raises the risk of a serious clot.
While taking an anticoagulant, take care to reduce the chance of bleeding. Use a soft toothbrush, take care with sharp objects, and always tell any doctor, dentist, or pharmacist that you take this medicine before any procedure or new treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, or recent surgery, and about all other medicines. Tell your doctor straight away about any unusual or serious bleeding. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
