Rivaflo 20 Tablet is used in adults to prevent and treat blood clots and to lower the risk of stroke in people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.

Uses of Rivaflo 20 Tablet are:

• Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE): Treats blood clots in the deep veins and lungs and helps prevent recurrence.
• Stroke Prevention: Reduces the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in non-valvular atrial fibrillation.

Here's how you should take Rivaflo 20 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding how often to take this medicine.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

• If you have trouble swallowing tablets, you may crush Rivaflo 20 Tablet and mix it with applesauce. Consume this mixture immediately.

Rivaflo 20 Tablet contains rivaroxaban (20 mg) which acts on your body as follows:

• Factor Xa Inhibition: Rivaroxaban inhibits an enzyme called factor Xa in your body. This enzyme plays a significant role in blood clot formation.

• Decreases Thrombin Generation: By blocking factor Xa, rivaroxaban effectively reduces the generation of another protein called thrombin which aids in clot formation.
