Rivaflo 10 Tablet is used to prevent dangerous blood clots after hip or knee replacement surgery, and to reduce the risk of clots in the deep veins (DVT) and lungs (pulmonary embolism) returning after initial treatment.
It contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant that thins the blood. It works by blocking a key step in the blood-clotting process.
Take it as prescribed, and do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping raises the risk of a clot.
Take care to reduce bleeding, and tell any doctor or dentist you take it before any procedure. Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, or liver or kidney disease. Report unusual or prolonged bleeding, black or bloody stools, or coughing or vomiting blood.
