Rivaban 2.5 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease. It is a single-ingredient direct Factor Xa inhibitor, a type of anticoagulant.
It is used with low-dose aspirin when prescribed for cardiovascular risk reduction. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Avoid cuts and injuries, use a soft toothbrush and limit alcohol, as this medicine increases the risk of bleeding.
Before starting, tell your doctor about your existing medical conditions and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor or dentist that you take this medicine before any procedure. Report unusual bleeding, such as black stools, blood in the urine or bleeding that does not stop, to your doctor right away. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop taking the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
