Pantocaf 40 Tablet is used to manage acid-related conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux and gastritis, including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers. It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI).
It works by lowering stomach acid, allowing the lining of the stomach and food pipe to heal and easing symptoms such as chest burning and bloating. Take the tablet before your first meal of the day, as prescribed by your doctor, and continue for the full course even once you feel better.
Eating smaller, more frequent meals and avoiding spicy, fatty or acidic foods, caffeine, alcohol and smoking can help ease acid-related discomfort alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver disease or other medicines you take before starting. Report persistent stomach pain, nausea or headache that does not improve.
