CompositionPansped 40 Tablet is a medicine used to manage conditions caused by excess stomach acid, such as heartburn, acid reflux and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It also helps in the treatment of gastritis and peptic ulcers by reducing acid levels and allowing the stomach lining to heal.
It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Take the tablet whole with water, ideally before your first meal of the day, as prescribed. Continue taking it for the full course advised by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve early, to allow the stomach and food pipe to heal completely.
Certain diet and lifestyle changes can further ease symptoms. These include eating smaller, more frequent meals, avoiding spicy, fatty or acidic foods, limiting caffeine and alcohol, not lying down immediately after eating, and maintaining a healthy weight.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver problems or are taking other medicines. Long-term use may lower magnesium levels or increase the risk of bone fractures, so let your doctor know if you experience muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat, or persistent stomach pain. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
