Norbid 400 Tablet is an antibacterial medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, gastrointestinal system, and certain genital or prostate infections. It works by killing the bacteria causing the infection and stopping their growth.
It contains norfloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Take it as prescribed on an empty stomach, either one hour before or two hours after meals, with a full glass of water. Complete the entire course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve quickly, to prevent the infection from returning or developing antibiotic resistance.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day while taking this medicine to ensure good hydration and prevent urinary crystallisation. Avoid excessive exposure to direct sunlight or sunlamps during treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of tendon problems, nerve conditions, epilepsy, kidney disease, or heart rhythm disorders. Avoid taking antacids, iron, or calcium supplements within two hours of this medicine. It is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
