Moxi Eye Drops contain two active ingredients:

• Moxifloxacin (0.5%): As a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, moxifloxacin works by inhibiting two enzymes in your body - DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are key in helping bacteria replicate their DNA and divide into new cells. By blocking these enzymes, moxifloxacin effectively hampers bacterial growth and multiplication.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This component acts as an antimicrobial preservative in the formulation of the eye drops. It prevents the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms, thereby ensuring that the product remains sterile during use. In addition to its preservative role, benzalkonium chloride also possesses some bactericidal and fungicidal properties which contribute to its effectiveness against certain bacterial infections.
