Pilocar 2% Eye Drops may interact with the following medications

• Antihistamines such as cetirizine: This medicine may have reduced effectiveness when used concomitantly with antihistamines.
• Anticholinesterases such as neostigmine: This medicine may enhance the effects of anticholinesterases, leading to an increased risk of cholinergic side effects.
• Medicines used to make the pupil larger and dry up the saliva in your mouth, such as atropine and phenylephrine: Pilocarpine may counteract the effects of medications used to dilate pupils and reduce salivary secretions.
• Anticholinergic medications such as orphenadrine, procyclidine, and trihexyphenidyl: Pilocarpine may antagonise the effects of anticholinergic medications.
• Antidepressants, including tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), a type of medicine used to treat severe depression: Pilocarpine may interact with antidepressants and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), potentially increasing the risk of side effects.
• Antipsychotics such as phenothiazines: Pilocarpine may enhance the effects of phenothiazines, leading to increased cholinergic activity.
• Medicines used to treat high blood pressure, such as guanethidine: Pilocarpine may interact with adrenergic blockers used for high blood pressure, potentially leading to increased cardiovascular effects.

The daily dose of Pilocar 2% Eye Drops should be taken as your doctor prescribes. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as age, severity of the condition, and response to treatment.

If, by accident, you put in an extra dose of these eye drops, contact your doctor in case you experience severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms.

If you miss a dose of Pilocar 2% Eye Drops, take it as soon as you remember. However, avoid repeating the dose.
