Amodep 5 Tablet is used for managing the following health conditions:

• High blood pressure, also known as hypertension

• Prevention and control of chest pain, or angina, due to coronary artery disease

• Management of chronic stable angina, a type of chest pain that occurs when the heart doesn't get enough oxygen

• Relief from vasospastic angina, a rare type of angina where the coronary arteries suddenly tighten or narrow

Here's how you should take Amodep 5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine around the same time each day to help you remember.

• Continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Don't stop without consulting your doctor.

Amodep 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Amodep 5 Tablet contains amlodipine (5 mg), which functions in your body as follows:

• Relaxes blood vessels: Amlodipine relaxes the walls of your blood vessels. This makes it easier for your heart to pump blood to various parts of your body.

• Reduces peripheral vascular resistance: The medicine lowers the resistance in peripheral blood vessels (vessels outside your heart). Lower resistance means that your heart doesn't need to work as hard to push blood around your body.
