Complete the full course as advised by your doctor, even if you begin to feel better, to help ensure the infection clears fully and to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance developing.
Before treatment starts, tell your doctor about any known allergies, especially to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, as well as any kidney or liver problems and other medicines you are taking. Tell your care team if you notice severe diarrhoea, a skin rash, or swelling during or after treatment.
