Monocef O Cv Suspension 30ml is used to treat bacterial infections in children.

Uses of Monocef O Cv Suspension 30ml are:

• Urinary and Skin Infections: Treats urinary tract and skin infections.

• You can give this medicine directly into your child's mouth or mix it with milk, fruit juice, or baby formula if needed.

Monocef O Cv Suspension 30ml contains two active ingredients:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (50 mg): This is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that battles bacteria by inhibiting their cell wall synthesis. It does this by binding to certain proteins within bacteria known as penicillin-binding proteins, disrupting their cell wall formation process. As a result, these bacterial cells become weak and ultimately lyse or break apart.

• Clavulanic Acid (31.25 mg): Clavulanic acid is the enzyme produced by certain bacteria that can break down and inactivate antibiotics such as penicillins and cephalosporins. Clavulanic acid blocks the action of these beta-lactamase enzymes, thus preventing them from inactivating the antibiotic.

• Keep the reconstituted Monocef O Cv Suspension 30ml refrigerated at a temperature below 30°C.

• Ensure the bottle is kept tightly closed to prevent exposure to air.

• Store away from direct sunlight or high temperatures, as they might affect the medicine's effectiveness.
