Monocef 1gm Injection belongs to the cephalosporin antibiotic family and is used to treat bacterial infections in the body. It works for infections of the brain (meningitis), lungs (pneumonia), ear, urinary system, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, blood, and heart. During surgery, Monocef 1gm Injection can also be given to prevent infections. It is injected directly into a vein or muscle under the guidance of a healthcare expert as a drip (intravenous infusion). The correct dose for you will be determined by your doctor. This medicine will be administered to you on a regular basis, at equally spaced intervals, according to your doctor's instructions. Even if you feel better, do not miss any doses and complete the entire course of treatment. Stopping the treatment too soon may cause the infection to recur or worsen.
