Megapen Kid Tablet 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Anticoagulant medicines such as warfarin, acenocoumarol, or phenprocoumon: Concurrent use may alter anticoagulant effects and increase the risk of bleeding, requiring monitoring of coagulation parameters.
• Immunosuppressants such as methotrexate: Ampicillin may reduce methotrexate elimination, increasing the risk of methotrexate toxicity.
• Uricosuric agents such as probenecid: Probenecid reduces the renal excretion of ampicillin and cloxacillin, resulting in increased antibiotic blood levels and prolonged effects.
• Xanthine oxidase inhibitors such as allopurinol: Concurrent use with ampicillin may increase the risk of skin rash and hypersensitivity reactions.
• Oral contraceptive medicines containing ethinylestradiol and progestins: Antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives in some individuals. Additional contraceptive measures may be advisable.
• Bacteriostatic antibiotics such as tetracycline, doxycycline, chloramphenicol, or erythromycin: These medicines may interfere with the bactericidal activity of penicillin antibiotics.
• Other nephrotoxic medicines such as aminoglycosides (gentamicin, amikacin) or vancomycin: Concurrent use may increase the risk of kidney-related adverse effects and may require monitoring.

Megapen Kid Tablet 10 may interact with diseases/conditions, including:

• Penicillin allergy: Patients with a history of penicillin hypersensitivity should not use this medicine.
• Infectious mononucleosis: Ampicillin use in patients with infectious mononucleosis is associated with a higher incidence of skin rash.
• Asthma and allergic disorders: Patients with a history of allergies may have an increased risk of hypersensitivity reactions.

The daily dose of Megapen Kid Tablet 10 should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage depends on the type and severity of infection, age, body weight, and individual response to treatment.

Overdose may cause severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, electrolyte imbalance, or neurological symptoms such as seizures in severe cases. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

If you miss a dose of Megapen Kid Tablet 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose.
