CompositionMefniwel P DS Suspension 60ml is used to treat high fever and moderate pain in children, especially when paracetamol alone isn't providing enough relief. It combines paracetamol with mefenamic acid, an NSAID.
Paracetamol works quickly to reduce fever and mild pain, while mefenamic acid provides longer-lasting relief by blocking the prostaglandins that cause throbbing pain and swelling, such as with ear infections and teething, and helps soothe body aches that come with flu. Shake the bottle well before use, and give the exact dose prescribed by your child's paediatrician, based on your child's weight.
Giving this suspension with food or milk can help protect your child's stomach.
Do not give this medication for more than 7 days unless directed by your child's doctor. Seek medical attention if your child develops a persistent rash or if the fever does not come down after several doses.
