Dolo-MF Oral Suspension is used to manage mild to moderate pain and fever in children. It provides relief from headaches, toothache, muscular aches, and fever caused by infections or other illnesses.
It combines mefenamic acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with paracetamol. Give the suspension by mouth as prescribed, using the measuring cup provided, with or after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Continue giving the prescribed dose for as long as advised, even if your child's fever settles.
Encourage plenty of fluids and rest while your child has a fever, and dress them in light clothing to help keep them comfortable. Use a fever-reducing sponge bath only if advised by your doctor.
Before giving this medicine, tell your doctor if your child has any stomach, kidney, or liver problems, or a history of asthma or allergic reactions to pain relievers. Tell your doctor if your child develops persistent vomiting, black stools, or a skin rash. Do not give more than the prescribed dose or combine it with other paracetamol-containing medicines.
