Zydol-P DS Suspension is a combination medicine used to treat mild to moderate pain, fever, and inflammation in children and adolescents. It helps relieve body aches, headaches, toothaches, sore throats, and discomfort associated with common childhood illnesses or viral infections.
It contains mefenamic acid and paracetamol. Give the exact dose recommended by your doctor using a proper measuring device. It is best given with or after food to protect your child's stomach. Do not give it for longer than prescribed, and avoid giving other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time to prevent accidental overdose.
Ensure your child gets plenty of rest and stays well hydrated during treatment. Offer small, frequent sips of water, clear soups, or oral rehydration fluids, especially when fever or body pain is present.
Before giving this medicine, inform your doctor if your child has a history of stomach ulcers, kidney or liver problems, asthma, or bleeding disorders. Seek immediate medical attention if your child develops severe stomach pain, persistent vomiting, a skin rash, or signs of allergic reaction.
