Loteris Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Treating inflammation after eye surgery

• Managing uveitis inflammation

• Reducing eye redness and swelling

Follow these instructions while using Loteris Eye Drops:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instillation.

• Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above your eye without touching any surface.

• Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the eye pocket.

• Close your eye gently and press the inner corner for about 1-2 minutes.

• Remove contact lenses before using and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your eye condition.

Loteris Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Loteris Eye Drops contains loteprednol (1%), which works on the eye as follows:

• Inflammation Reduction: Loteprednol inhibits the release of natural substances in the body that cause inflammation, helping to reduce redness, swelling, and discomfort in the affected eye.

• Prostaglandin Inhibition: It specifically blocks the production of inflammatory chemicals called prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and swelling in the eye tissues.

• Immune Response Modification: Loteprednol modifies the body's immune response in the eye, reducing the release of substances that attract inflammatory cells to the affected area.

• Blood Vessel Constriction: This medicine causes the blood vessels in the eye to narrow, which helps decrease redness, swelling, and fluid accumulation in the inflamed tissues.

• Store Loteris Eye Drops at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Do not freeze the eye drops.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Store away from direct sunlight.

• Reduce eye strain by following the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to help manage symptoms of eye inflammation and dryness.
