Laveta M Tablet 10

Laveta M Tablet is used to relieve allergy symptoms and support asthma control.

Uses of Laveta M Tablet are:

• Allergic Rhinitis: Relieves sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes and itching.
• Hives: Helps control chronic hives.
• Allergy-Related Asthma: Reduces wheezing and breathing discomfort in allergy-related asthma.

• Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water.
• It is not advisable to crush or chew the tablet.
• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Laveta M Tablet is taken orally.

Laveta M Tablet includes two active ingredients, levocetirizine (5 mg) and montelukast (10 mg), which work in the following way:

• Levocetirizine (5 mg): This ingredient acts as a blocker for histamine H1 receptors in your body. Histamine release can cause allergic symptoms such as itching, sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes. By blocking these receptors, levocetirizine reduces these symptoms.
• Montelukast (10 mg): This ingredient selectively binds to the CysLT1 receptor in your body which inhibits the physiological actions of leukotriene D4 (LTD4). LTD4 is known to cause bronchoconstriction and promote airway inflammation and edema. By blocking LTD4's effects, montelukast helps reduce asthma symptoms and airway inflammation.

By working together, levocetirizine and montelukast effectively manage allergic rhinitis by targeting both histamine and leukotrienes: two key mediators of allergic reactions.

• Store Laveta M Tablet in a cool, dry place.
• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture.
• Ensure the medicine is stored out of reach of children.
• Use the medicine before its expiry date.

• As Laveta M Tablet is used to manage allergic conditions, consider limiting your exposure to allergens. This could mean avoiding pollen during hay fever season or staying clear of dust mites.
