Imrotab 12 Tablet 10 is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Parasitic infection in the intestines known as intestinal strongyloidiasis, caused by the worm Strongyloides stercoralis.

• Onchocerciasis, also referred to as river blindness, results from the parasitic worm Onchocerca volvulus.

• Human scabies, but only when other treatments haven't been successful.

• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.

• It's best to take this medicine on an empty stomach or as prescribed by your doctor.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• It should be swallowed whole for optimal effect.

• Always follow your doctor's advice on how much and when to take this medicine.

• Do not self-adjust your dosage.

Imrotab 12 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Imrotab 12 Tablet 10 contains Ivermectin (12 mg), which works on the body in the following ways:

• Binding Selectively: Ivermectin selectively binds with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels found in nerve and muscle cells of invertebrates (creatures without a backbone). This action plays a crucial role in controlling parasitic infection.

• Increasing Permeability: By binding to these channels, ivermectin increases the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions. This causes an excessive flow of chloride ions into the cell.

• Inducing Parasite Paralysis and Death: The increased flow of chloride ions leads to hyperpolarisation. This means that there's an excessive positive charge inside the cell, causing paralysis and eventually death of the parasite.

• Always store Imrotab 12 Tablet 10 below 30°C.

• Do not freeze.

• Keep it in a closed container away from light and moisture.

• Never leave it in areas that children can access easily.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Maintain good hygiene by washing your hands regularly to prevent reinfection.
