Idofnib 150 Capsule 10 is used to manage idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Uses of Idofnib 150 Capsule 10 are:

• Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis: Helps slow the progression of lung scarring in this chronic condition.
• Chronic Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Disease: Helps manage progressive scarring in the lungs.
• Systemic Sclerosis-Associated Lung Disease: Helps manage lung scarring linked to this autoimmune condition.

Follow these instructions while taking Idofnib 150 Capsule 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine with food, approximately 12 hours apart.

• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.

• If you have difficulty swallowing, consult your doctor.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly for the duration prescribed by your doctor.

• Store the capsules in their original package to protect from moisture.

Idofnib 150 Capsule 10 contains Nintedanib (150 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Tyrosine kinase inhibition: Nintedanib blocks specific enzymes called tyrosine kinases that are involved in the development and progression of fibrosis and inflammation in the lungs.

• VEGFR blockade: It inhibits Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptors (VEGFRs), which are proteins that stimulate the formation of new blood vessels that can contribute to disease progression.

• FGFR Inhibition: The medicine blocks Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptors (FGFRs), which play a key role in the signalling pathways that lead to lung scarring and fibrosis.

• PDGFR Suppression: It suppresses Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptors (PDGFRs), which are involved in cell growth and division processes that can worsen lung scarring.
