Nintib 150 Capsule is used to slow the progression of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases, and in certain cases of non-small cell lung cancer and liver cancer. It is a specialist-initiated medicine that helps slow further lung or tumour damage.
It contains a kinase inhibitor. Take it with food at regular intervals (approximately 12 hours apart) as prescribed to reduce stomach side effects. Swallow the soft gelatin capsule whole; do not crush or chew it. Your specialist will monitor your liver function regularly with blood tests.
Attending all specialist follow-up appointments and blood tests is an essential part of safe long-term management. Managing any diarrhoea early by staying well hydrated and seeking medical advice promptly is important to continue treatment safely.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems, bleeding disorders, planned surgery, or if you smoke. This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby, so effective contraception is essential throughout treatment. Tell your doctor immediately if you could be pregnant. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
