Hefcard 50 Tablet is a prescription cardiovascular medicine used to treat chronic heart failure in adults with reduced heart pumping capacity. It helps improve heart function, ease symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue, and lower the risk of hospitalisation.
It contains sacubitril and valsartan, belonging to the angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) class. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if your symptoms improve, as long-term treatment protects your heart. Do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice.
Following a low-salt diet, restricting fluid intake as recommended by your doctor, monitoring your daily weight for sudden fluid gain, and engaging in light exercise as tolerated are important lifestyle measures for managing heart failure.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, liver disease, severe low blood pressure, or a history of sudden face or throat swelling (angioedema). It is strictly not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your doctor will monitor your blood pressure, kidney function, and blood potassium levels regularly during treatment.
