Gudcef 100 Dry Syrup 30ml is used for:

• Managing acute otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, or Moraxella catarrhalis in children
• Addressing pharyngitis and/or tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes in paediatric patients
• Helping combat community-acquired pneumonia caused by S. pneumoniae or H. influenzae in children
• Dealing with acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis caused by S. pneumoniae, H. influenzae, or M. catarrhalis in paediatric cases
• Managing uncomplicated skin and skin-structure infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes in children
• Assisting in the management of uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, or Klebsiella pneumoniae in children.

Give Gudcef 100 Dry Syrup 30ml to your child as follows:

1. Shake the bottle well before use to ensure that the dry powder is thoroughly mixed.
2. Measure the exact quantity needed using a clean spoon or cup.
3. Follow your doctor's recommended dosage and duration for this medicine.
4. After each use, ensure the bottle is tightly closed to maintain the efficacy of the medicine.
5. This medicine contains sugar; if your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving it to them.

Gudcef 100 Dry Syrup 30ml is given orally.

The active ingredient in Gudcef 100 Dry Syrup 30ml is cefpodoxime proxetil (100 mg). Here's how it works:

• Penicillin-Binding Proteins Inhibition: Cefpodoxime Proxetil targets specific enzymes called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) present inside the bacterial cell wall. PBPs are responsible for constructing and reshaping the cell wall during bacterial division.
• Peptidoglycan Chains Disruption: By inhibiting these PBPs, Cefpodoxime Proxetil disrupts the formation of peptidoglycan chains that provide strength and rigidity to the bacterial cell wall.
• Cell Lysis Induction: This disruption causes the bacterial cell wall to weaken and eventually break down, leading to a process called cell lysis, in which the bacteria break open and die.

1. Store the dry syrup powder at or below 25°C.
2. Once mixed with boiled and cooled water, keep it at room temperature or refrigerated.
3. Ensure the bottle is tightly sealed after use.
4. Keep it out of reach from children.
5. Use the Gudcef 100 Dry Syrup 30ml within 14 days of reconstitution and before its expiry date.

• Reduce your child's intake of sugary food and drinks. Sugar can feed bacteria, potentially making bacterial infections harder to manage.
