GLZ Plus Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus by helping control blood sugar levels. It is a combination antidiabetic medicine containing gliclazide (a sulphonylurea) and metformin (a biguanide).
It gives more complete blood sugar control than either medicine alone and helps maintain stable glucose levels. Take it with your main meal in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and keep to regular meal times to reduce the risk of low blood sugar.
Have meals at fixed times, keep portions of rice, roti and sweets under control, and include vegetables, dal and salads. A regular walk after meals supports blood sugar control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver or heart problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are due for surgery or a scan that uses contrast dye. Be alert to symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), such as sweating, shakiness or confusion. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
