Glucreta M 10 + 500 Tablet ER is a combination medicine used to manage high blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps achieve better blood glucose control and reduces the risk of serious diabetes-related complications, including kidney damage, nerve damage, blindness, and cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.
It contains dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, and metformin, a biguanide. Take the tablet whole with food as prescribed, usually with your evening meal. Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets. Continue taking it regularly as prescribed, even if your blood sugar levels are stable. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.
Lifestyle changes are an important part of diabetes treatment. Follow a structured diet with controlled carbohydrate intake, stay well hydrated, engage in regular exercise, maintain a healthy weight, and avoid excessive alcohol intake.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, a history of urinary tract infections, dehydration, or conditions that increase the risk of lactic acidosis. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you experience persistent nausea, severe stomach pain, or difficulty breathing.
