Daparyl-M Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults. It contains dapagliflozin and metformin, and helps control blood sugar levels while also helping to reduce the risk of some diabetes-related heart and kidney problems.
Dapagliflozin works by helping the kidneys remove excess glucose through the urine, while metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body's sensitivity to insulin, giving broader blood sugar control together.
Take this tablet as prescribed, with or without food, as your doctor prescribes, and drink enough fluids through the day, since this medicine increases urination. Continue to follow your recommended diet and exercise plan.
Tell your doctor immediately if you notice deep, laboured breathing, nausea or unusual tiredness even when your blood sugar reading is not very high, as this can signal diabetic ketoacidosis. Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, and report burning on passing urine or genital itching, since this medicine increases the risk of urinary and genital yeast infections.
