CompositionForglyn Plus Respicaps are used for the long-term management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), keeping the airways open and reducing inflammation to ease breathlessness, chest tightness and cough. They are not for the relief of a sudden attack.
They combine long-acting bronchodilators, which relax and widen the airways, with an inhaled corticosteroid, which reduces inflammation.
Use them regularly at the same time each day as prescribed, and rinse your mouth after use to reduce the risk of thrush. Keep a fast-acting reliever for sudden symptoms.
Tell your doctor about any heart disease, high blood pressure, glaucoma or urinary problems before use, as these can be affected. Report a fast heartbeat, eye pain or difficulty passing urine.
