Flospurt-d 8/0.5 MG Tablet 10 is used to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate. It gradually reduces the size of the prostate, improving urine flow, reducing urgency and dribbling, and supporting comfortable bladder emptying, which helps improve the quality of life for those with BPH.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.
• Take it at the same time each day, with or without food.
• Continue taking this medicine even if your symptoms improve.

The efficacy of Flospurt-d 8/0.5 MG Tablet 10 lies in its two active ingredients:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): Dutasteride acts by inhibiting an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into a compound called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which plays a key role in enlarging the prostate gland. By reducing DHT levels, dutasteride contributes to shrinking the prostate, thereby decreasing BPH symptoms over time.
• Silodosin (8 mg): Silodosin works by selectively blocking alpha-1 receptors found in certain smooth muscles within your body specifically those in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, and prostatic capsule. The blocking of these receptors results in the relaxation of these muscles, easing urination and reducing symptoms such as urinary frequency and urgency.

• Store Flospurt-d 8/0.5 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
