Esogress D Capsule 10

Esogress-D Capsule is used to relieve acidity and reflux.

Uses of Esogress-D Capsule are:

• GERD and Acid Reflux: Reduces stomach acid to relieve heartburn and reflux.
• Regurgitation: Eases the sour taste and discomfort of acid backflow.
• Digestive Comfort: Improves stomach movement to ease discomfort.

• Swallow the Esogress-D Capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change your capsule dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Esogress-D Capsules should be administered orally.

• Domperidone, an active ingredient in Esogress-D Capsule, is a D2 receptor antagonist. It exerts its activity by blocking dopamine receptors in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in the area known as the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ). By blocking these receptors, Domperidone helps to alleviate symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and digestive discomfort associated with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Esomeprazole, another active ingredient in the capsule, is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the production of stomach acid by inhibiting the action of the gastric proton pump, which is responsible for acid secretion in the stomach. By reducing stomach acid production, Esomeprazole helps to relieve symptoms related to excess stomach acids, such as heartburn, acid reflux, and stomach ulcers.
• Combining Domperidone and Esomeprazole in Esogress-D Capsule provides a comprehensive approach for managing gastrointestinal symptoms. Domperidone helps to address issues related to motility and nausea, while Esomeprazole reduces stomach acid production and helps with acid-related symptoms.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Esogress-D Capsule away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Excess weight can pressure your abdomen, pushing stomach acid into the oesophagus. Aim for a healthy weight through regular exercise and a balanced diet.
• Eat smaller, frequent meals instead of large meals. It helps reduce the amount of food in the stomach, decreasing the likelihood of acid reflux.
• Avoid foods that can trigger or worsen GERD symptoms. Common trigger foods include fatty or fried foods, spicy foods, citrus fruits, tomatoes, chocolate, caffeine, carbonated beverages, and alcohol. Identify your trigger foods and avoid them.
• Eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly to prevent overeating and reduce the likelihood of acid reflux. 
• Avoid rushing through meals, and take your time to enjoy and properly digest your food.
• After meals, avoid lying down or reclining for at least two to three hours. Gravity can help keep stomach acid in the stomach when you're in an upright position.
• Finish your last meal or snack at least two to three hours before bed. It allows the stomach to empty partially, reducing the likelihood of acid reflux while lying down.
• Smoking weakens the lower oesophageal sphincter (LES), the muscle that prevents stomach acid from flowing back into the oesophagus. Quitting smoking can help improve GERD symptoms and overall health.
• Wear loose-fitting clothing to reduce pressure on the abdomen.
