CompositionEmpaone 10 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults. It is a single-ingredient SGLT2 inhibitor containing empagliflozin.
It also lowers the risk of death from cardiovascular disease in adults with established type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Drink enough fluids through the day, as this medicine increases how much you pass urine, and keep the genital area clean and dry. Choose balanced meals with controlled portions of rice, roti and sweets.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, repeated urinary or genital infections or dehydration, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Seek urgent medical help for deep, laboured breathing, nausea, vomiting or unusual tiredness, even if your blood sugar is not very high, as this can be a rare but serious condition called diabetic ketoacidosis. Report burning while passing urine or genital itching promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
