Empagreat 10 Tablet 10 is primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and children when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient. It belongs to a group of medicines called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors.

Empagreat 10 Tablet 10 is used for:

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Helps lower blood sugar levels when diet and exercise are insufficient.
Heart Failure: Improves heart function and reduces hospitalisation risks due to heart weakness.
Chronic Kidney Disease: Protects kidney function and delays progression of kidney impairment.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Pregnancy

Empagreat 10 Tablet 10 is not recommended if you are pregnant. It may harm the unborn child. Consult your doctor for alternative treatment options.

Breastfeeding

Use Empagreat 10 Tablet 10 with caution while breastfeeding. It is not known whether empagliflozin passes into breast milk.

Alcohol

Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) and dehydration. Avoid excessive intake while on Empagreat 10 Tablet 10.

Liver

Patients with severe liver impairment should use Empagreat 10 Tablet 10 cautiously, as dose adjustments or alternative medicines may be required.

Kidney

Using Machines & Driving

Empagreat 10 Tablet 10 may cause dizziness, especially if taken with insulin or sulphonylureas that lower blood sugar. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel unwell.

Allergy

Children
