CompositionDoxcef CV 200 Tablet is used to treat a range of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ears, and throat. It works well against infections where bacteria may have become resistant to standard antibiotics, and it helps clear symptoms such as fever, pain, and inflammation. It contains cefpodoxime proxetil and potassium clavulanate. Cefpodoxime kills bacteria by stopping them building their cell wall, while clavulanic acid stops bacteria making the enzymes that would otherwise disable the antibiotic, so together they stay effective against a wider range of bacteria.
Finish the full course as your doctor prescribes to stop the infection returning, as stopping early can lead to resistance. Consult your doctor before starting, and check with them if you get ongoing diarrhoea or a severe skin rash during use.
