PODOCIP CV Tablet 10 is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, and skin in adults. It is particularly useful for infections caused by bacteria that have become resistant to standard antibiotics.
It contains cefpodoxime, a cephalosporin antibiotic, and clavulanic acid. Take it at the start of a meal as directed by your doctor to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course of treatment even if you begin to feel better, to prevent the infection from returning and to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
Maintain good hygiene and adequate fluid intake during treatment to support recovery. Avoid sharing medicines with others, even if they have similar symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, or any liver or kidney problems. If you develop severe diarrhoea, a skin rash, or signs of an allergic reaction during treatment, stop the medicine and contact your doctor right away. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.
