Clodrel Plus Tablet 15 is used to help prevent heart attack.

Uses of Clodrel Plus Tablet 15 are:

• Heart Attack Prevention: Reduces the risk of blood clots causing heart attacks in high-risk individuals.
• Stroke Prevention: Helps lower the risk of recurrent ischaemic stroke in patients with vascular disease.
• Coronary Artery Disease: Prevents arterial blockage in patients with narrowed coronary arteries or after heart procedures.
• Peripheral Artery Disease: Helps maintain smooth blood circulation in narrowed peripheral blood vessels.

• Swallow it whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet.
• You can take it with or without food, as per your preference.
• Follow your doctor's advice on the duration and timing of medication.
• Remember, do not discontinue this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Clodrel Plus Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Clodrel Plus Tablet 15 contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This component works by permanently blocking an enzyme in your body known as cyclooxygenase (COX). The COX enzyme aids in producing substances called prostaglandins and thromboxane A2 which contribute to clot formation and constrict blood vessels. By inhibiting COX, aspirin effectively reduces the risk of blood clot formation.
• Clopidogrel (75 mg): This ingredient is classified as a prodrug, which means it needs to be converted into its active form within the body. Once activated in the liver, it prevents a substance called adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from binding to its platelet receptor known as P2Y12. This action inhibits platelet activation and aggregation, thereby reducing clot formation.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, protected from light and moisture.
• Be sure to keep it out of reach of children.
