Ctd C 12.5/10 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of essential hypertension

• Management of high blood pressure

• Prevention of cardiovascular complications

• Reduction of stroke risk

• Prevention of heart attacks

• Control of peripheral vascular resistance

• Management of fluid retention

• Lowering of blood volume in hypertensive patients

• Prevention of calcium-mediated vessel constriction

• Regulation of sodium and water balance

Follow these instructions while taking Ctd C 12.5/10 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Take the tablet once daily, preferably in the morning with food.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your treatment.

Ctd C 12.5/10 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Ctd C 12.5/10 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): A calcium channel blocker that prevents calcium ions from entering the smooth muscle cells of arterial walls. This action causes blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), which reduces peripheral vascular resistance and lowers blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): A thiazide-like diuretic that acts on the kidneys to increase the excretion of sodium and water from the body. By reducing fluid volume in the bloodstream, it decreases blood volume and pressure, further contributing to the overall anti-hypertensive effect.

• Store Ctd C 12.5/10 Tablet 10 at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging to protect from environmental exposure.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Reduce salt intake in your daily meals as excess sodium can increase blood pressure. Try using herbs and spices instead of salt to flavour your food.

• Regular physical activity for at least 30 minutes most days helps naturally lower blood pressure. Walking, swimming, or cycling are excellent options for those with hypertension.
