CompositionConcor AM 5 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and stable angina (chest pain) in adults when a single medicine is not enough. It is a combination medicine containing bisoprolol, a heart-selective beta-blocker, and amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker.
Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney damage. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure or chest pain.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active as advised, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and quitting smoking support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a very slow heart rate, heart failure, liver problems or circulation problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop a very slow pulse, severe breathlessness or ankle swelling. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
