Starvog 0.3 Tablet 10 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes, particularly the sharp rise in blood sugar after meals. It is used alongside diet and exercise, on its own or with other diabetes medicines.
It contains voglibose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates. Take it with the first bite of each main meal as prescribed.
A balanced diet with controlled carbohydrate content at each meal, regular activity, keeping to a healthy weight and routine blood sugar monitoring support better control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bowel conditions or liver problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. If a hypoglycaemic episode occurs alongside other diabetes medicines, use glucose (not sucrose), as voglibose slows digestion of ordinary sugar.
