Olmesartan Medoxomil (40 Mg)

Olmighty 40 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing olmesartan medoxomil, and belongs to a class of medicines called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs).

This medicine works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II from binding to its receptor, which allows blood vessels to relax and widen, lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of complications such as heart attack and stroke. Take this medicine at the same time each day, with or without food, in the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Reducing salt in your diet, staying active as advised by your doctor and maintaining a healthy weight can further support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.

Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. It is not recommended during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Report any dizziness, diarrhoea or stomach pain to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Uses of Olmighty 40 Tablet 10 are:

High Blood Pressure: Blocks the action of angiotensin II to relax and widen blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.
Reducing Cardiovascular Risk: Helps minimise the risk of complications such as heart disease, stroke and kidney damage linked to uncontrolled blood pressure.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.
You can take this medicine with or without food, as it doesn't affect its effectiveness.
Do not alter your dose without your doctor's advice. If you think your current dose isn't working well enough, consult your doctor first.
Do not abruptly stop taking this medicine without discussing it with your doctor.

Olmighty 40 Tablet 10 is taken orally.
