Cinod-T Tablet is used to manage essential hypertension by effectively lowering high blood pressure in adults. It is also prescribed when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with cilnidipine or telmisartan alone. The combination helps relax blood vessels and improves overall heart health.

Here are the instructions while taking Cinod-T Tablet:

• Strictly follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor for this medication.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without your doctor's approval.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing this medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Cinod-T Tablet is taken orally.

Cinod-T Tablet contains two key ingredients:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This ingredient is a calcium channel blocker. It prevents the entry of calcium ions from outside into vascular smooth muscle cells via L-type voltage-gated channels. This action leads to the widening of peripheral blood vessels and a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, thereby lowering blood pressure. Cilnidipine also acts on N-type calcium channels which inhibits the release of norepinephrine from nerve endings, adding to its blood pressure-lowering effect.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), telmisartan works by selectively binding to angiotensin II type 1 receptors, blocking their vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects. This causes blood vessels to widen, reduces peripheral vascular resistance and decreases aldosterone secretion, all contributing to a decrease in blood pressure. It does not inhibit other hormone receptors or the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE).

These two ingredients work together to effectively manage high blood pressure.

• Store Cinod-T Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always keep the lid tightly closed after use.

• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Remember to use Cinod-T Tablet before its expiry date.

• Since Cinod-T Tablet is used to manage hypertension, try to maintain a low-sodium diet. Consuming less salt can help reduce your blood pressure levels.

• Regular physical activity is also beneficial. Aim for moderate exercise such as brisk walking or cycling for at least 150 minutes per week. This helps in managing high blood pressure and maintaining overall heart health.
