Cilacar C 6.25 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This ingredient is a calcium channel blocker. It works by blocking the inflow of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells and heart muscle cells. This action results in vasodilation, which reduces peripheral vascular resistance and lowers arterial pressure. Cilnidipine targets both L-type and N-type calcium channels. The N-type blocking effect helps to suppress the activation of the sympathetic nervous system, therefore providing better tolerability.

• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): This ingredient is a diuretic that works on the kidneys. It increases urine production and helps to eliminate excess salt and water from your body.
