Cardexa 50 Tablet is used in adults, especially those with diabetes or high cardiovascular risk, to manage high blood pressure, including resistant hypertension.

Uses of Cardexa 50 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Manages high blood pressure and resistant hypertension, especially when a single medicine is not effective.
• Diabetic and High-Risk Support: Supports blood pressure control in people with diabetes and those at high cardiovascular risk.
• Cardiovascular Protection: Promotes relaxation of blood vessels and lowers the long-term risk of cardiovascular events, particularly in people above 55 years of age.

Follow these instructions while taking Cardexa 50 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet as this affects its extended-release action.

• Take the tablet at the same time each day.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, but be consistent.

Cardexa 50 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cardexa 50 Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients that work together to lower your blood pressure:

• Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg): As a selective beta-1 blocker, metoprolol acts on specific receptors in your heart. It slows down your heart rate, reduces how forcefully your heart contracts, and decreases cardiac output, all of which help lower blood pressure.

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This calcium channel blocker works by blocking L-type and N-type calcium channels in your blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), reducing resistance to blood flow and lowering blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This component blocks angiotensin II receptors in your body. By preventing angiotensin II from binding to these receptors, it stops blood vessels from narrowing and reduces the production of aldosterone, a hormone that increases blood pressure.

• Store Cardexa 50 Tablet 10 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Protect from moisture, light, and excessive heat.

• Reduce your salt (sodium) intake by avoiding processed foods, canned soups, and takeaways, as high sodium can worsen high blood pressure that Cardexa 50 Tablet 10 helps manage.

• Aim for regular physical activity like brisk walking for 30 minutes most days, which helps lower blood pressure naturally and improves the effectiveness of your blood pressure medicine.
